If you live in Wisconsin (and who doesn't?), I was sailing through your airwaves last night. I got invited to be a guest on At Issue with Ben Merens to talk about holiday tech and to take questions from listeners.
The listeners had very specific questions and were very up-to-speed on HD, GPS and smartphones. Luckily, it's my job to keep up with this stuff, but there was a stumper or two in the mix. You can listen to last night's show here if you're interested. It was pretty fun. I'm told the show, carried on Wisconsin Public Radio, reaches several other states as well, so I'm not sure how many people have access to it. Nice that they put it all online, though.
With that, I think the Omar Overextension Tour '08 is over. I plan to take it easy for the next few weeks.
On that note, my last Smallville recap of the year is up at Television Without Pity. It was 10 episodes in a row without a break, so I'm completely wiped out. The show doesn't come back until January 15, so I plan to catch up on some reading, play lots of video games and contribute more to Trailers Without Pity in the interim.
Chloeverfield -- A videotape of the Chloe and Jimmy wedding shows the carnage that occurs when Lois and Clark become seriously attracted to each other. Oh, and also what happens when Doomsday attacks. Lana also returns to remind us why it was a good idea that she left in the first place.
An NPR segment about social networking in the workplace was on the air today. We're also taking listener questions on the "All Tech Considered" segments now, so that's pretty cool. We're starting to get some good notes from readers on the All Tech Considered Community area.
I'm still amazed by NPR's reach. I hear from people I haven't heard from in years who listen to the show on their commute or catch it in their office. It's been a very cool experience so far.
Episode #6 of Trailers Without Pitywas posted today, this one on Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. We made a factual error in there that was completely my fault. It's been so long since I read the book (and Pablo hasn't read them at all) that I forgot who the "Half-blood prince" really was. Shit. My bad. Sorry, Potter fans. Please don't cast a curse on me.
