Here there be monkeys
We posted two Space Monkeys! comics this week that I'd neglected to ilnk to. The first was a quick Arthur C. Clarke tribute. The second, posted this morning, is a new strip.
After South by Southwest, my first priority was to get back on track with comics and with Videogamey, but then I had to get back on board with new TWoP recaps and stuff going on at work.
Busy busy, but very pleased with how things are going. We're taking mini-vacation on Memorial Day weekend for Lilly's baptism and I'll probably take some time off in late June or August to catch my breath.
But who am I kidding? I love being busy.

Sweet potato baby Click here for the Flickr.com version.
We could probably do a better job not spilling food everywhere, but it's more fun this way.

New adventures in a post-SXSW world
I'm still trying to adjust to regular life after South by Southwest Interactive, which really screwed with my sleep patters and with my sense of what I'm doing at work. It was an energy boost I really need that drained me at the same time. But it made me feel more connected and committed to my job than I've felt in months and it was the sort of shot in the arm I needed to refocus my energy. So it was good, if jarring, for me to be working at that pace.
Nevertheless, things keep moving, and I keep pumping stuff out.
Two recaps this week, one for Smallville the other for How I Met Your Mother:
Ain't Nothin' Gonna Break-a My Stride (Gum) -- Clark's old best friend Pete Ross returns for a guest spot to find everything in disarray. Welcome to The CW! Pete chews some Kryptonite-laced Stride gum and becomes Stretchy Man, able to extend his limbs until he gets his butt kicked by Lex and a henchman. At least the acting doesn't require such stretching.
and
Green Day -- Lily and Marshall deal with a slanted floor while Ted busts a move on St. Patrick's Day.
I also did a silly video for Videogamey.com over the weekend that I'm really pleased with. You can check it out here (or on YouTube, I suppose).
And lastly, I'm on this video that was shot on the first day of South by Southwest, talking to Springnet (Paul Terry Walhus), a Twitter.com friend.
I'm still doing the Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. radio show on San Antonio's 550 AM, the Jeff Koch show, and enjoying just talking about tech.
I'm supposed to be on the Jumping Monkeys podcast this Thursday talking about parenting and tech (two subjects that I'm familiar with, but not so much together). They seem like great folks over there, so I'm looking forward to our chat. It'll be on at 4 p.m. (Central) on Thursday. Wish me luck!
That's about it. I've been keeping busy writing, trying to catch up on some TV shows and video games, trying to catch up on sleep because Lilly has gotten to her "clingy/hold me/I don't sleep ever" phase. She's still adorable, but seriously, get to sleep, kid! You're not so cute at 4 a.m., crying.
But flip side is that she giggles when I bite her belly and she is now chowing down on peas, green beans and squash, so I guess it balances out.
