NOW it's up
If you tried to get to Videogamey yesterday and only saw a forum, the DNS/server stuff was still moving over. Everything should be kosher today.

A new Videogamey
Things have slowed down to a crawl in a lot of areas, as they always do this time of year. I've only got one TWoP recap left for the whole year (tonight's Smallville), I'm not performing in a January LCP show that's coming and my day job is going through the annual holiday slowdown where people stop returning calls and all the offices we deal with shut down.
One busy thing, though, has been the work Glark and I have been doing on Videogamey.com, which relaunched today. (Actually, Glark's been doing all the work: I'm just writing.) The forum is still intact, but the main page is now an A to Z Encyclopedia of Videogames (take that with a grain of salt) that has been a lot of fun to work on. Come check it out. We'll be posting daily.
Thanks goodness things have slowed down because taking care of Lilly feels like four full-time jobs. She doesn't sleep through the night (she's been really congested lately) and even though she's usually in a great mood, she get really antsy. The commute and the hours I spend with her before her mom gets home have been challenging. But she also surprises me: last night I took her to an LCP meeting and she didn't cry at all. She just slept, then woke up and stared at everyone as they talked while I held her. She let me put her back in the carrier when we left and slept all the way home. What a trouper! Even the bad weather doesn't seem to bother her.
Of course, this overwhelming task -- not screwing up being a dad -- has superseded Christmas cards, Christmas shopping, most Christmas decorating, any thoughts of eggnog, all that. I have some time off coming soon where I'm hoping to catch up, but one thing I've learned about Lilly already is that all the free time I think I'm going to have when it's just me and her turns out not to be free time at all. Not that I'm complaining. I kind of love it.
One last thing: my last How I Met Your Mother weecap for the foreseeable future. They're done with episodes because of the writers strike, so who knows when it'll return:
Eight Simple Steps... -- That go together to form the Golden Rule-beating Platinum Rule. It's not "Do Unto Others" unless you mean the dirty kind of "Do." And Barney always does.

To recap...
Ike Turner is dead (now Tina's gonna have to duck when she gets to heaven), Jessica Alba is pregnant, there's no electricity in Oklahoma, the weather here is completely shitty and Hannah Montana is coming to town.
Did somebody lose a bet with the Devil? I can't help but think that all these things are somehow connected.

There are issues about my belly
You know how when you're taking someone's picture or shooting video and they're like, "Oh, no, don't do that, I look fat." I usually think they're being unreasonably vain or self-conscious and, you know, whatever: nobody's looking at your weight, all right? Could we move on?
Well, we shot a video for work and the weeks I've gone without hitting the gym are finally in full evidence. I feel like a damn cow.
Anyway, I wrote an entry for work where I mention it, and I had planned to post all those links here (a big videogame gift guide I worked on ran in today's paper and an accompanying video is online).
I also had a short game review in the paper, but I'm so depressed about my distended belly that I'm not even posting the YouTube video here.
Sigh. This weekend: GYM!
