Friday evening at home
Lilly and I still not completely over being sick (she's still coughing and congested; I still sound like Seth Rogen). But we're over the worst of it and that's good. It was a tough, tough week. I went to work and she still went to daycare (neither of us ever had a fever). I'm still spitting up aggressively yellow stuff.
Television Without Pity did a holiday section this year and I contributed to a tech gift guide (more of a slide show). Hope you like it.
I've also been trying to convince Glark to go with a T-shirt idea I had. You can see the heartbreaking results of this exchange over on the Twitter stream, where I've been posting a lot the last few days.
Things you probably don't care about, but seem way important in my head:
Re-starting my Netflix as the TV season dries up.
Just bought Superbad on Blu-Ray.
LOVED "Juno," which I got a special chance to see this week.
Desperately seeking Austinites who are part of "Austin No Kidding," but having no lucky contacting the organization. Going to a meeting to see if I have better luck.
Researching Latino social networks and having no luck there, either.
Working on some LCP stuff, but I'm behind, behind, behind.
Also researching kids MMOs/Web-connected toys. Hoping to find some Austin connection there, too.
Don't even get me started on Christmas cards/shopping. Sigh...

Rockin' out
I would have posted this earlier, like Saturday when the hit counts would have mattered, but I was waylaid by some illness:
A story I wrote about people playing "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero" in stores ran in Life & Arts on Saturday. I shot the photos and everything. I also shot and edited a video that goes with the story.
About the illness: I never had a fever or anything worse than bad congestion and a headache, so it could have been allergies, but Rebecca, me and the baby all had it for the weekend and it was pretty miserable. Hearing Lilly coughing at night or sniffling as she struggled to breathe, or crying when we used the giant bulb syringe to extract her impacted snot: these were not the makings of an awesome weekend.
On the plus side: I made some good sweet potato pies, we watched tons of Dirty Sexy Money, Lucy, Daughter of the Devil and Reaper. But when you're too sick to play videogames, it's a sad weekend.
