The Friday pimp wagon
A story of mine about an Austin company called Thoof ran in today's business section after some wrangling about where it would end up. The founder of the company, Ian Clarke, is one of the nicest, most laid-back tech guys I've met in Austin. Here's hoping that technology goes somewhere.
Forgot to mention a How I Met Your Mother weecap went up earlier this week on TWoP.
It's my wife's first day back at work. Wish us luck!

Portals for Poopers
A new Space Monkeys! comic is up today, a riff on the game Portal, which we love.
There've been other comics about it, but not any I've seen in regards to fecal matter. You're welcome, Internet.

Meta-stasized
My recap of Smallville 7-5 is up at Television Without Pity:
The Fandom Menace -- Clark saves a pretty actress when his farm becomes home to a movie set for a comic-book adaptation. Meanwhile, a message-board dweller goes nuts on Clark and Lana. It could totally happen!

Down with la 'Rasa!'
My casual-gamer's review of Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa is up on the newspaper site, part of a larger package that included a hard-core MMO fan's review and a package about the making of the game.
MMOs wear me out, but this one was fun to play for a while.

Just because I have a kid...
... that doesn't mean I can't still be an asshole.
Yesterday, just because I felt like it, I went and punched a doe in the stomach. Yeah, we have doe in New Braunfels. They're all over the place. Lots of doe. Crawling with doe around here.
So I punched this doe right below its doe ribcage and I was like, "Yeah, bitch! Suck it, you beautiful manifestation of nature! You want some more? I will kick your doe ASS!"
The doe ran away, and I gave chase for a few moments, but then I heard the baby crying, so I went to take care of her.
But don't think that fatherhood has softened me up. If I see that doe again, I am going to tear that motherfucker's head off.
