Writing about parenthood
I've said again and again that I wasn't planning on becoming a full-time daddy writer, but I guess that changes a bit when you're offered to get paid for doing it. A column I wrote for work about being a new dad runs in this Saturday's paper.
It's a semi-regular thing. There's a rotating list of columnists and I'm not sure when my next one will run. I'll beg the baby to do something fascinating so I can write about it -- oh, there she goes, crying now. That's sort of interesting, right?

At the Game Developers Conference Click here for the Flickr.com version.
I'm posting a bunch of photos and later today some video from the Game Developers Conference over on the Digital Savant blog. It's been exhausting, but fun. Austin definitely has a lot of cool videogame stuff going on. Truth be told, it was weird for me to be downtown in Austin on a Thursday night at 10:30 p.m. I thought those days were over.

Californiweecapination
A new 'Weecap' of Californication, for episode 1-4, is up at Television Without Pity. Baby Lilly makes a guest appearance, showing off impeccable comedic timing in her pooping:
Gallant at the Gala -- Hank tries to prove he's not a total piece of crap by defending several women in his life at a chi-chi fundraiser. And yes, he does punch someone, but it's for a good cause. Charlie gets busted for being James Spader to his assistant's Maggie Gyllenhaal, but it's only Hank who finds out. Also, about four new totally-made-up curse words. God bless Showtime.

Possibly inappropriate confession
I think I may be suffering from post-hard-on depression.
