Telecommuting works!
Today I wrote my first story that was done entirely from home. It's about Disney Interactive acquiring Warren Spector's Austin-based Junction Point Studios.
I think I could get used to working like this.

Get on the ball, teens. Both of them, in fact!
I only have one word for this story: Lazy.

Transformed, like it was the first time
A second Transformers-themed comic has been created, despite my still having not seen the movie. I have questions, and perhaps the movie has answers. What are these giant robots hiding from? Why the disguises? If you're a giant killing machine, why do you need to be stealthy? These questions were brought to bear and when PJ, who has seen the movie, found himself questioning as well, we knew we had struck a vein and, possibly, robot oil.
Working from home today and following up on several things. GTD implementation is complete. I don't know that I've ever felt this organized, but I also don't know when I've been this exhausted. I'm less stressed, but also more busy. I'm on top of things, but the oxygen's a little thin up here with so much to do.
Still, closing open loops has become a full-time obsession. I'm just curious whether the thrill of being organized will wear off. It goes against my nature, really, so it almost feels like play-acting. Can the scorpion change its tail-stripes? We shall see.
Happy Friday!

More GTD, new comic
The irony is that if I were to write a full-blown entry about all the Getting Things Done stuff I'm doing right now, in full implementation mode, I wouldn't have time to get to a lot of the stuff on my list for today.
That's all right. Despite this, I feel like I have a more realistic view of what's ahead of me, what need to be done, and how to do the important stuff. But as soon as things settle down and I feel like I've got a handle on my new folders, my new Web-based app for sorting my next action lists, and all the other jargon-heavy stuff, I'll come here and give you the low-down-dirty.
In the meantime, we did a Transformers-themed comic that was posted today. As I say in the newspost below the strip, I have yet to see the movie, opting instead yesterday to scarf down what Pixar's serving in theaters, but I'm sure that the robot movie is going to be seen by me soon. It's a next-action, even!
