My Name is WhoJackie
Not only did this week's episode of My Name is Earl contain a huge, bold-faced shout-out to TelevisionWithoutPity.com, but a subsequent chain of events has led to a charity auction for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Talk about good karma! Go check it out and please donate.

These people are trying to kill me
When people at my work get back from being cooped up at home from the ice, they get to bakin', apparently. I returned to work today with all manner of baked goods on my desk.
Later in the day, someone offered me dark chocolate and was visibly outraged when I declined. Guess who ended up eating a block of dark chocolate?
Then we had a birthday, so there was cheesecake 'n berries. I'm looking at a half-eaten slice on my desk right now.
I'd have baked something myself while I was stuck at home, but it was too cold to fart, much less run to the store to fetch bittersweet chocolate chips.
I'm trying to balance out all this crazy sugar with a Diet Big Red, but I think that only makes me look more pathetic, like the people that would come to Whataburger when I worked there and order a large Diet Coke with their triple Whataburger and large fries.

Dirty pool, mister
New Smallville recap this week, written hurriedly as I was getting back from my trip. Tonight's episode is "Justice," which should be a lot better:
Like Water for Choking -- Tori Spelling guest-stars as a gossip columnist who can also turn into evil water. No fair going for the easy joke about how much of that is saline. Also, Lana decides that she loves both Lex and Clark, and also enjoys eating cake as well as just having it. Then she gives Lex the answer he's been waiting for.

Hard freeze '07! Click here for the Flickr.com version.
It's crazy cold, so I'm staying home again today, as is Rebecca.
Because of some days off I took last week, I've been out of the office for about seven days, which is nuts. I actually miss my desk at work. Here are some more winter pics.
We posted a new Space Monkeys! comic today.
I forgot to mention that last Friday, a review I wrote of Rome ran in the paper.
My feet are getting cold under my desk here, so I'm gonna go cuddle.

Comin' back from Cali
I got back yesterday after a miserable day of trying to navigate through the national airport system which was delaying flights, de-icing planes and rerouting everything. No fault on them. The weather outside was frightful and they were just doing their jobs, but it made for a day of traveling that went from an expected four or five hours to almost 10.
Some people had it a lot worse. My flights were just a bit delayed, but I still got home safe and with my proper luggage by about 7.
The trip was fantastic. We didn't have nearly enough time to sightsee, but the show in L.A. was good, I had a chance to participate in a Smallville DVD project and meet a comic book legend, and in San Fran we rocked two short shows and apparently got some buzz going. We met with industry folks who offered great advice and possible opportunities and we met some cool comedy folks. I shook hands with one of my comedy idols, Jon Benjamin. Ate some tasty seafood at Fisherman's Wharf and some late-night In-N-Out Burger.
Hey, it's me 'n Rob Corddry of The Daily Show and Naked Babies! I'll post more pictures and other stuff later today. I'm home for the holiday.
