Whoah, brain
I would venture a guess that I probably get about two full nights of uninterrupted sleep a month on weekdays. It used to be worse; back in the Terribly Happy journal days, I was maybe once a month with all those late-night updates and having a more brutal work schedule that didn't allow me to come in late to work.
Today is one of those two days, and it feels more weird than not getting enough sleep, something I'm used to.
For one thing, my head hums. Does that happen to any of you? I get this weird sort of hum right in the center of my forehead, like a samurai sword quivering in the air. And it's not unpleasant. It's sort of like when you drink a Red Bull and your whole body feels hypersensitive and your brain is right on the edge of being overstimulated. Feels just like that, only without any caffeine aid.
I get super-organized and tackle new projects. I tie up loose ends on old projects and barrel ahead through everything, swimming though assignments. These are the days when ideas like this Web site or an online comic come about. When I'm in "Conquer the World" mode.
It's a very good day to be performing. And for some reason, drinking Odwalla helps keep the day-buzz going.

TiVocational
Li'l Floaty Omie Head (minus the head these days) gets totally fucking geeked out about TiVo upgrades, software downloads and hacks.

A meteor sandwich
My last recap of the season, for Smallville's Season Four finale, is up at TWOP:
Shower to shower -- A second devastating meteor shower hits the town of Smallville, all because Clark Kent didn't get the Gay Stones of Knowledge together when he had the chance. Meanwhile, Lana kills somebody, and Lex gets mad at everyone. There's also a Batman Begins preview, but let's take it one D.C. Comics hero at a time.

It's a celebration!
My review of the Chappelle's Show: Season Two DVD is up at the mothership site. The set is in stores today and I'd highly recommend you pick yourself a copy.

Some of the reviews are in...
Reviews for ¿Citizen Quién? are starting to trickle in:
Austin American-Statesman review.
Local blog review
Austinist write-up.
Don't let that bit about the A/C scare you -- we did have a problem Saturday night, but we've been promised that The Hideout will have it taken care of by our next show Thursday night. Come check it out this weekend.
One thing I forgot to mention in my little "Bright Spots" post last week: The Friday night of the week we opened, I got a chance to perform at No Shame Theatre for the first time. People bring in sketches, monologues, musical bits or whatever and get up on stage in front of a very kind and forgiving crowd. Estrella and I did a sketch I wrote, "The Walking Club" and it got a very good reaction, so that was very, very cool. Much love to Shannon McCormick for hooking that up for us.
